After surpassing an extensive audition process, Kapamilya singer KZ Tandingan has been chosen to join China’s biggest singing competition on television titled Singer 2018.

Produced by Hunan Broadcasting System (HBS), the said singing contest is a weekly show wherein singers are eliminated each week and a new challenger is introduced.

KZ, who popularized the song ‘Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako,’ will enter the show on the February 9 episode, on Friday.

Although the show usually features Chinese singers from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, KZ will join another non-Chinese contestant who is none other than English artist Jessie J who sang ‘Bang Bang,’ ‘Price Tag,’ and ‘Flashlight.’

Jessie has been on the show since its very first episode this year, January 12. She ranked first place in the three episodes aired hereafter.

Singer 2018 airs every Friday at 8pm. Its live finals will happen on April 13, 2018.
