Manny Pacquiao recently returned to General Santos City to celebrate his 40th birthday by throwing a lavish party composed of over 10,000 guests, including a special participation from Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte himself.
Held at KCC Convention and Events Center, the celebration, like the Boxing Champ, was a tough one to beat after reportedly having raffled off extravagant giveaways to lucky winners, including cars, motorcycles, pick up trucks, and one million cash, to name a few.
Following the occasion, Pacquiao turned to Instagram to thank those who have made his birthday “special and memorable”.
“Thank you to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you to my family, my friends, my colleagues, my team, and all of my fans around the world. Without all of you, there would not be a Manny Pacquiao,” wrote the athlete-turned-politician.
Aside from his peers in politics and sports, Manny’s whole family — wife Jinkee, kids Michael, Jimuel, Princess, Queenie, and Israel, and mom Dionisia — graced the party with their presence in equally posh get-ups.
Meanwhile, Manny is set to return in the ring to defend his WBA welterweight world title against Adrien Broner come January next year.
