Maris Racal's first business venture is finally open.
Maris Racal, who was one of the performers at the Pamaskong Handog 2018 event, shared how she handles her finances at such a young age age.
"Ako talaga before masasabi ko na iniisip ko talaga lahat ng binibili ko. Ngayon unti-unti na akong natututo mag-treat ng self but I make sure na lahat ng binibili ko worth it you know. Hindi 'yung nagwawaldas lang. Kasi naman sayang 'yung money," she said.
"Marami po akong accounts. Then, ini-scatter ko 'yung money ko sa mga bagay na importante. And ini-invest ko siya to multiply, 'di ba," she added.
The 21-year-old Kapamilya star, who learned how to save money through her parents' guidance, shared that she's been handling her finances on her own since the age of 16.
"'Yung parents ko tinuruan lang ako ng basic na like paano mag-save. Pero since 16 years old ako until now, ako na nag-decide lahat," she stated.
Maris, who revealed in a Magandang Buhay episode back in July that she was already building a restaurant of her own, revealed that it recently had its soft opening.
"Meron na po akong business. Sa Davao po siya, restaurant. And 'yung pinapa-handle ko ng lahat, 'yung brother ko. Pero small time pa lang siya, hindi pa siya nag-grand opening. Siguro soft opening pa lang siya and hindi pa siya 'yung build na talaga. Family resto. Ako po talaga nag-fund," she stated.
Though Maris wants to explore other businesses in the long run, she said she wants to focus on her career right now as an actress so she could find better investments in the future.
"Siguro sa right age na talaga 'yung mga business na kailangan ng time and effort. Ngayon kasi parang nag-focus ako. Bale, 'yung self ko 'yung business ko. Na parang iniinvest ko 'yung time and effort and money ko sa lahat ng bagay na nakakapag-help sa akin na I know will help me in the future so mas ngayon nagfofocus ako for longevity," she shared.
Apart from Maris Racal, other Kapamilya stars like the TNT Boys, Moira Dela Torre, Sam Milby, and Inigo and Piolo Pascual also made appearances at BDO and SM's joint prize-filled event called Pamaskong Handog 2018 dedicated to overseas Filipino workers and their beneficiaries.
