In time for its 65th founding anniversary, ABS-CBN, the biggest media network in the Philippines, finally shared photos of its new, highly anticipated soundstages located in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. The project was unveiled on Wednesday, December 12.

“We want to bring ABS-CBN content to the international stage, and having a state-of-the-art facility and a world-class production team is a big step for us towards that direction and dream,” ABS-CBN president and chief executive officer Carlo Katigbak said.

The said soundstages will provide production facilities and studios for upcoming Kapamilya projects such as the Darna remake starring Liza Soberano, and the teleserye The Faithful Wife.
The project’s pioneer, ABS-CBN Chairman emeritus Eugenio “Gabby” Lopez III said, “Completing the sound stages represents a very major step for ABS-CBN in terms of our ability to create much better production. Through this we can show the world the best of the Filipino.”

The 7.7-hectare Phase 1 that was unveiled will include a visitor’s center, parking facilities, and support buildings, as well as solar panels.
ABS-CBN chairman Mark Lopez said, “What I’m most proud of about this project is that we’re creating Hollywood-level sound stages which puts us at par with the rest of the world.”

World-class film and production houses around the world also have their own sound stages. Among them included Universal Studios, Warner Brothers, and Disney. With these new ABS-CBN soundstages, we can expect more excellent quality stories and productions from the Kapamilya network.
