With their respective acting careers hitting a home run at the same time, it didn’t take long before Ria and Arjo Atayde booked their first ever project together for Maalaala Mo Kaya, wherein they aptly took on the roles of siblings and known environmentalists Rosedel and Armin Sibuyan.

To portray such characters of importance was a dream come true for both the celebrity siblings, even more so that they get to do it together. In two separate Instagram posts last Saturday, both of Sylvia Sanchez’s children shared throwback photos of and with each other to celebrate the fulfillment of their childhood dreams.

“We we’re just once young kids who loved watching good television and a ton of movies. That’s why to this day, I get emotional and get caught in disbelief with the fact that we’re acting in one MMK [episode] together,” wrote Arjo. “Keep doing what you’re doing! You’re good at it! Don’t mind what people say because the goal is to inspire and nothing else more than that. After working with you, I can now say that you’re hella good! Keep shining, Ri. I love you. This is your MMK.”

Meanwhile, Ria is just as much as in a state of disbelief. “If you had told me years ago, that Arjo and I would be passionate about the same thing and would be appearing on screen together, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. But dreams do come true and here we are,” shared the actress.

It was in 2015 when Ria and Arjo decided to follow in the footsteps of their mother Sylvia, a veteran actress, in the limelight. Currently, Ria appears in the hit primetime series Halik, while Arjo is set to appear in the Metro Manila Film Festival official entry Jack Em Poy: The Puliscredibles.
