Genuine love and care

Kakai shared how she was greatly inspired by the optimism of the lolos and lolas she met at the Mary Mother of Mercy: Home for the Elderly and Abandoned, in her hometown in Laguna. Despite being abandoned by their children, senior citizens remained happy and content according to Kakai.

So happy to have spent a little time with these beautiful group of lolas. My pre and post birthday panata is to celebrate it with them.❤️ It is such a painful truth that there are children who can abandon and forget their parents and continue to live a normal life.😞 The lola beside me have forgotten her name, she is the cutest and one of the best dancers! Pag may bisita, sya ang unang sumasalubong.😊 I pray for a longer life, more energy and more smiles that i can see from their faces. I miss my lola everyday, and it is such a relief na mayakap sila, makausap at mapangiti. Thank you, Thank you Lord for these kind of opportunities!🙏🏻 Thank you to my Family and friends na walang sawang tumutulong at sumasama sa akin.❤️ Love you all!!!!!!! All for God’s greater Glory!❤️ Kung may mga Lola at Lolo, magulang pa kayo, lagi nyo silang yakapin at bulungan ng “iloveyou”❤️ #WanderLolas #Liveboldly

"Paano nagagawa ng mga anak yun. Iniwan mo tapos di mo man lang dinadalaw.

Passion for education

The singer-comedienne always looks for an opportunity to help others, like the time when she celebrated her 15th anniversary in showbiz with a concert early this year at the Music Museum.

Kakai had a donation booth set up at the concert venue for her advocacy with Teach Build Peace. The said foundation seeks to raise fund to support the educational needs of kids from Marawi City that were affected by the recent war. The group, with the efforts of Kakai, provided school supplies, classrooms and more for the eager youth to continue schooling.

Nung nag-start yung war, siyempre wala na silang school, (tapos) inevacuate sila from Marawi, kasi wala, nasira lahat e.

"I think more than 300 kids ang natulungan na nila.

The importance of giving back

Kakai always gets emotional whenever she talks about her advocacies. She believes that the elderly do not deserve to be abandoned and that the youth should always have access to education.

"Ang sarap kasing makita na nakakapag-pasaya ka. Nakaka-happy na nakaka-iyak. Para sa akin kasi, yung mga lolo't lola, parang they don't have enough time to spend.

Sharing bigger dreams for the community

Kakai dreams of putting up an institution to be able to reach out to even more people. "Tsaka dream ko talaga yung magkaroon ng School for the Arts and Home for the Aged, na magsusupport talaga sa kanila.

The child will remember, 'Ay inabutan niya ako ng piso.'

"Your initiative to give, your eagerness and your determination to help people, yun lang yung power ng pagbibigay, iba yon. It teaches other people na binigyan mo to pass it on, and pay it forward also."

When i was a kid, I used to run home to my lola crying without telling her why. I used to cry myself to sleep because of what people tell me about my features. “Hoy Panget!” “Sa hitsura mong yan, wala kang mararating!” And Its not very long ago that I have learned to accept who I am. My strengths and weaknesses. It was a painful difficult process, I had to be crushed and totally broken to be able to reassemble myself. I prayed alot for courage, patience and trust. And I woke up one beautiful day realizing I HAD TO LOVE myself first so I can LOVE MORE and GIVE MORE. I have never imagined being in this state but i have worked hard and prayed for it. I BELIEVED when you are TRUE to yourself, everything will come in TRUE and BEAUTIFUL. and If you just Stay TRUE and Accept who you are —- PEOPLE will Learn to embrace who you are too❤️ And this will be your way to success and pure Joy.🌈 Nothing is impossible when you BELIEVE! THANK YOU @revlonphl And @metrodotstyle 💋 I am so grateful and honored to be a Part of this!!!!🌈❤️ Thank you direk @archangel_frank for always believing in Me.☺️ Thank you mars @mikebawa for your magic.💋 “Love yourself, Accept your flaws!” ~~~ Kakai Bautista @revlonphl LIVE BOLDLY Campaign Ambassador💋 #dentaldiva #confidenceispower #liveboldly #revlonph
