Kapamilya Dance Sweetheart, AC Bonifacio arrived all smiles at the press conference last November 29 for her upcoming birthday concert. The 15-year-old Dance Kids grand champion shared her aims on leading a ‘90s-themed concert.
"Because I grew up in hip-hop... So I grew up with Biggie, I grew up with Aaliyah, with Tonya, with all of them, and R. Kelly, and Usher and Ne-Yo," she said.
AC told the press that she wanted to give a performance that fans don't usually see on TV. "So I just want to show that side kasi I feel like right now, sobrang millennial po lahat mga rap and taki taki, level up. And I think it's being seen naman na po on ASAP and It's Showtime a lot. So I want to bring it back to the old school," AC explained.
With an extraordinary talent and a history of of international guest appearances, the proud Pinay dancer assured people that she will not leave her career in the Philippines. "I love my career here, this is where I started. I wouldn't have done all those international things if it wasn't for here.
"I feel like if I did have an opportunity din naman po there, I wouldn't give up here. Kasi po I'm still a Filipino po, I'm full Filipino. I love my culture and I grew being a Filipino. Maybe I'll go there in one or two months, and whatever happens po, I'm always going to come back here," she said.
At the same press conference, AC was asked if she had ever imagined herself being in a love team, just like DonKiss (Donny Pangilinan and Kisses Delavin) whom she works with in the teleserye Playhouse. "Bata pa po ako. Maybe like a partner, like a dance partner, because I've had dance partners po before. But as a love team, I don't really know po at the moment," she answered.
"I'm really enjoying just getting myself out there, putting my name as AC Bonifacio. And the fact that this whole thing is coming out, the birthday concert and everything, is just somehthing more than I can do po," AC added.
AC Bonifacio will hold her birthday concert dubbed All About It on December 14 at the SM North EDSA Skydome. She can also be seen on TV in the ABS-CBN series Playhouse and online as one of the hosts of the digital show, One Music Popsss.
