Though she comes from the rival network, Rita Daniela opened up about being a fan of KathNiel ever since.
Rita Daniela, one of the most known kontrabida actresses from the rival network, revealed that she has already talked to Kapamilya talent Daryl Ong about a future collaboration. That, after fangirling over the ‘The Voice’ alum for years.
"I remember, sobrang nakipag-unahan ako bumili ng tickets niya ng concert niya. Tapos nakakatawa 'yung istorya kasi I went there as a fan. Not as Rita. I was there. I was in awe. After nun, nameet ko siya nung concert. After ko manood nun, may Aliw Awards kasi that time. Tapos parehas kaming may nomination that time. Dun ko siya nakausap," Rita shared.
"Surprisingly, when Daryl talked to me, he was also a fan of me. Ikaw si Rita Iringan 'di ba? Rita Iringan pa 'yung dati ko pang pangalan. Ikaw 'yung sumali sa ganito 'di ba? Oh my Gosh alam niya 'yung history ng career ko. 'Oh my Gosh totoo ba 'to?' Tapos nung time na 'yun napag-usapan agad, we exchanged numbers that time. 'Oh tara. Let's collaborate' tapos parang 'yun nga he asked first kung ano record label ko. It's kinda sad though kasi hindi na namin siya na follow-up. Kasi of course, busy din siya kasi he's Daryl Ong," she added.
Though she hails from the rival network, Rita admits that she has always been a fan of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla's tandem.
"I have this song with me. I wrote this for KathNiel. I am such a fan of Kath. Such a fan. I watched their movies a lot. Like kung hindi ko man siya mapanood sa sinehan, mag-iintay na lang ako sa net. Pero grabe, like 'yung "Hows Of Us" sobrang love ko 'yun like dalawang beses o tatlong beses ko yata inulit sa sinehan. As in sobrang fan ako nung dalawa. At kahit individually, fan ako. Ang galing galing talaga nila. Sobrang husay," she said in an exclusive interview with PUSH.
Daniela, who will be the only solo professional artist to join Jose Mari Chan's upcoming concert at the Theatre at Solaire this coming December 22, revealed what she felt upon being chosen to sing at the OPM legend's Christmas show.
"I think this is just God. Everything is just him. Because the moment I committed myself to him, everything just went so easy and so smooth," she said.
"Siyempre tayo 'pag may natanggap tayo, hindi ka maniniwala hangga't hindi siya nangyayari, 'di ba? Pero nung biglang may poster na, nag-popost na, 'My God this is really happening'. Sobrang kinikilig ako," she continued.
