Disney’s live-action adaptation of the 1994 classic “The Lion King” has released their official teaser trailer earlier today, November 23, much to the delight of fans.
Using computer-generated animation, the nearly two-minute clip reimagined scenes from the original film, featuring as well the same OST, Carmen Twillie and Levo M.’s “Circle of Life.” As of writing, the video has amassed over 13 million views on Facebook and is already trending worldwide on Twitter.
Directed by Jon Fabreau, who brought to life blockbuster flicks “The Jungle Book” (2016), “Iron Man” (2008), and “Iron Man 2” (2010), among others, the 2019 film will feature voices of Hollywood big names Donald Glover (as Simba), James Earl Jones (as Mufasa), Alfre Woodard (as Sarabi), John Jani (as Rafiki), Billy Eichner (as Timon), Seth Rogen (as Pumbaa), Chiwetel Ejiofor (as Scar), and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter (as Nala).

“The Lion King” is set to hit local cinemas on July 19 next year.
