Will 'American Idol' alum David Archuleta join Regine Velasquez-Alcasid as judge of 'Idol Philippines'?

American-singer songwriter David Archuleta is back in the Philippines for a show, which would benefit the Mabuhay Deseret Foundation - the country's largest surgical charity foundation. Despite knowing that David is currently in the country for a benefit show, some fans couldn't help but speculate whether or not he is also here to join his good friend Regine Velasquez-Alcasid as one of the judges of Idol Philippines. The former American Idol champion, who made a special appearance in one of Regine and Ogie's concert in 2012, said he thinks it would be "great" to have the Asia's Songbird as judge of Idol Philippines given the latter's years of experience in the industry. "I think that'd be great. I mean, to have Regine as a judge, too. I mean she'll have a lot of good insight 'cause she has a lot of experience. She's one of the best singers out there - I mean anywhere. So I think it'll be interesting to see what she has to say to the contestants of the show," he said. But sadly, we won't be seeing David as one of the show's judges. Well, not anytime soon. "I wasn't invited. It sounds like they already have their judges, too," he said. Asked if he would accept an offer given a chance to become one of the judges of Idol Philippines in the future, he responded, "I guess if I don't already have prior commitments, I think it would be fun."
