Pia Wurtzbach explains why she and boyfriend Marlon Stockinger no longer follow each other on Instagram.
In the third year anniversary special of Tonight with Boy Abunda, Pia Wurtzbach revealed how her niece Lara and nephew Logan changed her life. “I feel like they’re my own. Dati hindi ako marunong magbuhat ng baby. Pag binigay sa akin nagpe-freak out ako.”
Miss Universe 2015 continued, “Whenever I’m down, sometimes I ask myself why am I still doing this. Why am I doing this again? And then I look at the picture of Lara… I look at the video of Logan and Lara and then I think that’s why. It’s for family.”
At this point Pia becamed teary and said, “It’s for family, It’s for my sister… It’s for Lara, it’s for Logan. I love my family very much, I just want them to be happy.”
She also admitted she’s not yet planning to have a family with her beau, race car driver Marlon Stockinger. “Not yet. Of course, I would want to be a mom in the future, that’s something that I would want to experience.”
Asked how she and Marlon are doing, Pia said matter of factly, “We’re very good. We’re very happy.”
Has the relationship been uneasy because of constant rumors of them breaking up? The reason for this may be the couple’s very public unfollowing and following of each other several times on social media. Pia said, “I understand why people would think we’re broken up because we don’t follow each other on Instagram and we’ve kept it that way for a while now. Actually, for months now.”

She explained why this move has been better for them as a couple. “It’s just better para kapag nag-away kami hindi namin nagiging target ang social media. It works for us. It’s better.”
Pia then added, “We enjoy it this way. Somehow it’s working for us. So we just kept it that way. Pag nag-follow nanaman kami sasabihin na uy magka-away pala sila so okay na sila ngayon. When this whole time we’ve been okay.”
Through their ups and downs in their relationship of almost two years, one thing remains constant and that is their being best friends. “Marlon’s my best friend. And I feel like he knows me the best and he knows Pia and not Ms. Universe,” said Pia.
Pia also shared, “I always tell him you’re my best friend and if we break up can we still be best friends? He said no.” She then explained Marlon’s answer as, “parang that means not to break up.”
There is also no talk of tying up the knot for now. “Right now, and we’ve made this very clear to each other na meron pa kaming mga personal goal na gustong ma-achieve.”
