For those who missed LANY last year, we have an exciting news for you: The band is coming to the Philippines for the second time around next year! The upcoming concert is part of their much-awaited 2019 World Tour, which will officially commence in February in Moscow, Russia.
While the venue for their Manila leg is yet to be announced, a definite date for the concert was publicized in their official site: July 24. Aside from Manila, LANY will also play for other cities in Asia namely, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Osaka, Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, and Jakarta.
LANY’s first time in the Philippines was in the Summer of 2017, wherein they held a series of shows at select Ayala malls and a two-day concert at the Araneta Coliseum. They also headlined the annual Wanderland musical festival that year, proving, more than anything, their undeniable connection to their Filipino fans.
The indie pop band, comprised of Paul Jason Klein, Charles Leslie Priest, and Jake Clifford Gloss, rose to fame mainly for their song “ILYSB,” which received international acclaim after its release in 2015. This would soon be followed by more hit singles – “Good Girls”, “13”, and “Super Far,” to name a few – and a nine-track studio album, “Malibu Nights”, launched just last October.
