It’s official: Lauv is set to come back in the Philippines with not one, but two solo concerts for his Filipino fans! As part of his 2019 Asia Tour, the Hollywood singer will hold consecutive shows in both Manila and Cebu on May 20 and 21 respectively.
This isn’t the first time that the 24-year-old hitmaker will play for the Filipino crowd. In November 2017, he opened for none other than Ed Sheeran during the latter’s Divide Tour at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.
Currently, Lauv is headlining several tours in the U.S., including the 2018 North American stadium tour by Ed as part of his opening acts.
Lauv rose to fame following his hit single “I Like Me Better” in 2017, with which earned him a spot in the top 10 of airplay hits in the U.S., Australia, Germany, and New Zealand, among others. The song also went double platinum in the U.S. and triple in Australia after it reached over a billion streams since its release.
Just this September, the young musician released a new song titled “There’s No Way” featuring fellow budding artist Julia Michaels, which is said to have accumulated over 38 million streams as of writing.
Aside from the Philippines, Lauv will also perform in Mumbai, Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Jakarta, and Japan, particularly for the Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo crowds.
Pre-sale of tickets for both the Manila and Cebu shows will start tomorrow, November 14, with general on-sale starting on November 23, in partnership with AEG Presents and Ovation Productions.
