Rhian Ramos reveals her biggest insecurity: ‘I worry if people believe that I’m sincere’

Being paired for the very first time with JM De Guzman in the romance drama Kung Paano Siya Nawala, Rhian Ramos said she loved the story of a girl who fell for a man suffering from facial blindness. “I’m so proud to be a part of this movie but it would make it even better if nalaman ko na napanuod siya, nagustuhan niya at sinuportahan niyo. We’re very proud of what we’ve put together so we really hope that you enjoy,” she shared during the TBA Studios Kung Paano Siya Nawala media launch last October 31.

At 28 years old, Rhian admitted she is self-aware enough to understand her insecurities and wasn’t shy to admit them to the local press. “Lahat naman siguro ng tao meron pero parang napansin ko na a lot of the things that I strive to show people, na parang I want people to think I’m smart, I want people to think I’m pretty, gym ako ng gym, there’s a little bit of that that starts with a place of I want to feel pretty. So that’s a kind of an insecurity or parang, what if people don’t think I’m funny? That’s an insecurity na through this movie na-realize ko nga, na the more loud you make yourself, nag-o-overcompensate ka for something that’s behind that,” she explained.

When it comes to relationships, the pretty actress said she also feels insecure when her sincerity is questioned. “Siguro I worry if people believe that I’m sincere or not. Or kung nanlalandi ba ako for fun? Kasi I’ve had so many weird relationships where the person you love is saying the meanest things about you. So parang nagtataka ako minsan if sinabi niya yun dahil naniniwala siyang ganun ako or para lang saktan ako? Kasi maraming mga away sa relationship na ganun eh. So yung insecurity ko siguro in a relationship is naniniwala ka ba sa akin na sincere ako, na I want what’s best for you and I mean you well, parang ganun,” she said.

Even though she always tries to look her best in front of the camera, Rhian said that just like any normal person, she does have her moments when she also zones out. “Napakadami kong lutang moments.

Unlike most Filipino families, Rhian said her family doesn’t usually go to the cemetery during All Saints Day. “Sa family namin hindi kasi usually dinadalaw namin yung mga family members namin kapag birthday nila or kunwari yung lolo ko dinadalaw namin pagka anniversary nila ng lola ko. So on different days kami pumupunta hindi kami sa All Saints Day rush,” she added.
