After making a standout fashion statement at this year’s ABS-CBN Ball with her street style inspired outfit coordinated with James Reid, Nadine Lustre said she and her boyfriend usually have their twinning moments while dressing up. “I don’t know, sometimes we just end up coordinating. Parang bigla na lang naka-blue jeans and white shirt na ako and naka blue jeans and white shirt din siya. I don’t know, maybe because we’re in sync, we have the same wavelength, so baka it happens because of that,” she shared during the Skechers D’Lites event launch held last October 4 in Taguig City.
As Skecher’s D’Lites celebrity ambassador, Nadine said she has never been brand conscious when it comes to shopping for fashion. “I’m not brand conscious. I’m actually not. As long as I know that the piece suits me well. As long as I like it, it doesn’t matter what brand it is. I shop online eh. I shop in online shops. I’m not really the girly type. My outfits are not very girly. It’s always street. I like to be different with the clothes that I wear,” she explained.
As one of the most fashion forward celebrities in the country, Nadine said there really is no one way to explain what street style really is all about. “Street is so hard to explain. I guess when you say street fashion, it’s something that a lot of people can relate to. Like sneakers, it’s something comfortable but something edgy at the same time. Parang yun yung naiisip ko when you say street fashion. And it’s different from athleisure because that’s parang more polished. It’s more put together. It is sporty but at the same time medyo polished siya ng konti. Street kasi is very comfy, it’s very now,” she shared.
