Nash Aguas reveals why ‘Class of 2018’ is his dream come true: ‘Gusto ko kasi maging action star’

After shooting in the forests in Subic for the film Class of 2018, Nash Aguas said he did not expect to be offered one of the lead roles in the new project. “Nung una natuwa, na-excite at naging thankful sa T-Rex Entertainment dahil sa pagkakataon, tapos kinabahan. Later on ma-ri-realize mo yung pressure na first film mo pala. At the same time nanaig yung excitement dahil bagong plot, bagong storya, tapos ngayon pa lang gagawin sa Pilipinas,” he said.In preparation for his role, Nash said he had to work out in order to look more convincing for his action-packed scenes. “Sobrang hirap nung mga fight scenes kasi sobrang complicated niya and siyempre yung mga artista like sila Ethan Salvador, sobrang athletic sila eh. So kumbaga kailangan ko bugbugin si Ethan kasi ang laki niya so in a way, kailangan ko aralin at ma-master yung mga fight scenes para magmukhang believable,” he shared.The 20-year-old actor said it has always been his dream to do action movies and Class of 2018 is helping him fulfill that goal. “Bata pa lang ako, gusto ko kasi maging action star, ng palihim. Pero pag may mga fight scenes kunwari sa mga eksena, tuwang tuwa ako. Give na give ako. Kaya nakakatuwa dahil in a way, dito sa movie na ito, nagustuhan ko yung mga action scenes ko. Madaming action scenes, sobrang dinamihan ni direk. After ng shooting, nag-po-post ako lagi sa Instagram ng mga pasa kasi sobrang sakit ng katawan ko,” he recalled.Unlike his past projects, Nash said that comedy in Class of 2018 is not the laugh out loud kind that people might be used to seeing him do. “Yung comedy element kasi dito hindi yung nagpapatawa siya talaga para lang maging comedy. Kumbaga more on situational comedy. May mga times na hindi ka naman dapat natatawa pero matatawa ka, yung ganung type of comedy siya,” he added.
