British-Norwegian group A1 is officially back in Manila for their 20th Anniversary Reunion Tour. Pinoy fans sure can’t wait to see the boys in their upcoming series of shows now more than ever because of member Paul Marazzi’s presence for the first time in more than 15 years.
Although some of the boys had a hard time going to the Philippines after their flight got canceled, they couldn’t be any happier that they will finally be able to perform for their fans—with whom they have a “special relationship”—for the first time in 16 years with all four members hitting the stage all at once.
“I feel delighted to be here. It’s great to be here in the Philippines. It’s one of those countries that we’ve always had a special relationship to that our music has somehow transcended to several generations here it seems, right? There’s so many people from the policemen to the transport control to young girls who probably weren’t even born when we started out. You know, people know all these songs that we wrote 20 years ago and it feels very, very special for us to come to the other side of the planet and so many people appreciate and know the songs that we wrote makes us feel happy and delighted,” said member Christian Ingebrigsten during the presscon for their upcoming shows.
Having released last week their latest single as a four-piece group for the first time since Paul left the group in 2002, A1 gave the press present during their presscon a teaser of what could be their first-ever live performance of “Armour” at their sold-out show this Sunday at the Kia Theatre.
