Edgar Allan Guzman reacts to gay rumors: ‘Mas nakakatuwa’

After winning the Metro Manila Film Festival Best Supporting Actor award for his portrayal of a loyal and gay best friend in Deadma Walking, Edgar Allan Guzman admitted he is still open to offers to do gay roles.

EA said there was no truth to the issue that he stole the limelight from his co-star Joross Gamboa in a lot of scenes in the dramedy film. “Walang sapawan na nangyari. Hindi kami nagsapawan kahit kaming dalawa hindi namin naramdaman yun while doing the film.

His role as a gay man was done so effortlessly onscreen that EA admitted that even his family started to question his sexuality. (laughs),” he shared.

Having a real-life gay brother, EA gave credit to his sibling for helping him prepare for the role. With my help of my brother na everyday ko nakakasama at nakikita.

Despite the notion that it is a gay movie, EA believes Deadma Walking’s central theme of friendship and family will appeal to all kinds of audiences. Kahit ano naman makuha naming award, basta ang goal namin is kumita and maraming makapanuod ng pelikula,” he said.

This year, the talented actor said he already has a couple of things lined up.
