Venus Raj reflects on wanting a father-daughter moment on her future wedding

Every girl dreams of having her parents walk her down the aisle and Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2010 Venus Raj is no different.

She shared on her Instagram on Tuesday, January 30, her reflection about that moment while she attended the wedding of her friends.

“While the father of the bride was sharing beautiful words to her precious lady, telling her how much he loves her and cherishes her, I thought to myself, 'who would speak such loving and assuring words to me when my special day comes, since I haven’t met my father yet?,'” she wrote.

“While the parents of the bride were ushering her to the altar to meet her soon to be husband, I thought of my mom, 'who will be her partner in ushering me to the altar?'”

Venus said that she is still assured and excited when that day comes.

Venus has yet to meet her Indian father and said that if God wants them to meet, they will meet soon.

 

This day is not only special for my friends @ryanreal_ and @angelicaamante but also for me. I got to reflect on many things. While the father of the bride was sharing beautiful words to her precious lady, telling her how much he loves her and cherishes her, I thought to myself, “who would speak such loving and assuring words to me when my special day comes, since I haven’t met my father yet?” While the parents of the bride were ushering her to the altar to meet her soon to be husband, I thought of my mom, “who will be her partner in ushering me to the altar?” But God’s comforting love just filled my heart with excitement. I know that these are some of the things that I have to face when I cross that bridge, but God’s assurance is overwhelming. This day reminded me of the church eagerly waiting for Jesus to come again, I too am looking forward to that day. The most beautiful marriage that will ever take place in this life and the life to come. To see Jesus face to face, and to see my Heavenly Father and feel the warmth of His loving arms. I can only imagine, but I’m sure that day will be much more beautiful than what my mind can think of, and my imagination can create. Just like what is written in 1 Cor 2:9, ...
