Singer Marion Aunor felt very honored to have her song Electric Gold played in the promotional plugs of the Miss Universe 2017 pageant in the Philippines.
“I felt very honored that the song was used for Miss U. Even if I wrote Electric Gold as a love song, I think that it also fits the idea of people who are different coming together and creating something wonderful which is what I think Miss U is all about,” she told Push.
Produced under Tarsier Records, Marion recalled shooting for her electronic dance music’s video. Calling it a dream come true, she added, “I've never put as much effort into making a music video as I have for this song. Out of all the music videos I've released, I think that this is the best one yet 'cause we really went all out in terms of costume, the set, the gold full body paint (which took me probably an hour in the shower to completely remove), and the way the video was shot and edited.”
“I honestly feel really blessed with the team assigned to do the video - shout out to our director Kevin Mayuga 'cause everyone's effort really came together and created something really special and something that represented the song perfectly. It was a very sticky, cold and golden shoot but in the end it was all worth it,” she said.
She also has a message for her supporters, “Thank you to everyone who has continued to support me and my music, stuck with me since I've started and is welcoming the new phase I've entered musically.”
