Carlo Aquino on Angelica Panganiban: ‘Nag-uusap pa rin kami, nagte-text, nagtatawagan.’
There are many firsts for Carlo Aquino when he accepted his new movie project Meet Me in St. Gallen. “First romantic movie ko, first shoot ko out of the country, first time ko to work with Bela (Padilla), with direk Irene (Villamor),” he said in an interview with PUSH.
Carlo relayed that one of the things he thoroughly enjoyed about being part of the movie was the opportunity to shoot scenes in Switzerland. Parang nakaka-inspire, parang ganon,” he stated.
The actor remarked that Meet Me in St. Gallen is a far from the usual rom-com that moviegoers get to watch.
“First of three acts kasi siya so sa bawat act, ibang character ‘yung makikita niyo dahil ‘yung una ako as Jesse, hindi siya confident. Parang walang pupuntahan ‘yung buhay niya. Iba siya dahil para siyang chance encounters and what you make of it. Kung ipu-pursue mo ba, kung itutuloy mo ba? So ganon hindi siya ‘yung rom-com na napapanood mo madalas,” he said.
The actor was also asked if he is open to work again with Angelica Panganiban, who happens to be a close friend of Bela and who was his former onscreen partner. Carlo remarked that he wants to saying, “Siyempre si Angel naman is one of my good friends din.
