Edgar Allan Guzman on winning MMFF Best Supporting Actor: ‘Para na akong nasa alapaap’

During the recent Metro Manila Film Fest awards night, Edgar Allan Guzman said he attended without any expectations of bringing home any awards. His film Deadma Walking ended up winning Best Float and he won Best Supporting Actor.

Despite the unexpected award, netizens became vocal in their opinion that he should have won Best Actor instead.

Thankful pa rin ako,” he shared.

The talented actor revealed how he felt being up on stage as a presentor before he won the award. Ganun yung feeling. Ang sarap,” he recalled.

EA says it is enough to know that audiences are appreciating his film with Joross Gamboa. “Sobrang happy kasi marami kaming nakukuhang good feedback and reviews through social media so pag binabasa namin nakakataba ng puso kasi lahat halos ng mga nag-ti-tweet sa amin at nag-po-post sa Facebook, lahat puro positive yung nakikita nila sa Deadma Walking. lahat naiiyak at natatawa so yun naman kasi yung goal namin,” he told PUSH.

Going into 2018 with high praises for his acting has only inspired EA to reach for higher goals in the new year. Sana mangyari ulit,” he shared.

Watch the MMFF drama-comedy Deadma Walking, still in theaters until January 7.
