As his series approaches its last five-week run, Ian Veneracion revealed there were many unforgettable moments during the eight months he spent with leading ladies Bea Alonzo and Iza Calzado.
“Memorable scenes for me is yung first part of the show when Grace (Iza Calzado) wanted an annulment and ang sakit-sakit sa akin nung eksenang yun and I think it translated on screen, nakita naman nila yung sakit sa amin pareho.
“And isang highlight na na-enjoy ko immensely was the first time I kissed Andeng (Bea Alonzo). Nung may scene sa Baguio at saka yung scene na yun in a moment. Ang dali-dali niyang katrabaho kasi,” he shared.
Fans of the TonDeng love team will be thrilled to know that even Ian couldn’t deny the real-life “kilig” on the set.
“Ako I announce this for a fact na madali akong kiligin. Yung ganun. Mababaw akong tao eh. So sa mga eksena namin alam mo naman eh, you can’t pretend eh. Kailangan mong kiligin to find something to be kilig about and that’s what I love about being an actor, that you have to go through the emotion talaga. Even if hindi nangyayari sa yo sa tunay na buhay pero na-experience mo.
“’Yung napagdaanan ni Anton for example napagdaanan ko pero in a simulated world. Pero the emotions are real. Hindi mo madadaya yun eh so it makes my job so easy kung yung katrabaho ko ay madaling mahalin, yung ang dali kong i-convince yung sarili ko na na-in love ako dito even for that scene. Napakadali sa akin ng trabaho dito sa show na ito because nga parehong yung kailangan ko mahalin napakadaling mahalin,” he explained.
Even though he has two beautiful ladies fighting over him onscreen, Ian said there is absolutely no rivalry between them off camera.
“Yung sinasabi nila I can attest to that I’ve never, ever napansin sa kanila na merong competition sa kanila kasi yun nga sobrang close namin. The best qualities nila. What I love about Iza is that she has a wonderful sense of humor na unedited.
Just like his character Anton, Ian also believes that it is possible to find a love that lasts. “I’m an optimist so definitely I believe in a love that lasts. And I think it’s immeasurable, you can’t quantify it. It’s based on feelings and emotions and how you’re connected. So far in my life nakahanap ako ng love that lasts in my personal life so parang it validates that belief,” he remarked.
Watch Ian and the whole cast of A Love to Last in the #LoveGoals concert on September 8, 8 pm at the Kia theater in Quezon City. “It’s going to be a musical.
