Mahirap siya especially now that I’m shooting a new series also, medyo nakakapanibago,” kuwento niya sa amin during the renewal of his contract sa Hammerhead clothing company.
Patuloy ng aktor, “Kasi of course, na-attach ako for two years na I’ve been more of Joaquin than Arjo in a weekly basis in the whole two years. Mahirap, sobrang hirap talaga.
“Medyo na-shake off ko naman but it’s still there. There’s something that I know na hindi ko matanggal.”
Base sa kuwento ni Arjo, malayung-malayo ang role niya sa bagong teleserye kung ikukumpara sa Ang Probinsyano.
“Total opposite ng character ko sa Probinsyano and total opposite ko. Mabait naman po ako dito, first time,” wika pa niya.
Eh, how about working with his mom? May challege ba dito?
“Wala naman. Actually, ano kasi ako, eh. I’m a team player. I know my place, I know my job and immerse myself, I research on it.
“I don’t think there would be a problem coz I already worked with her before pero cameo siya sa Pure Love. So working with her of course is easier coz she’s a very good actress as well,” rason niya.
Hindi rin daw awkward na makatrabaho ang nanay niya.
“It was never awkward, it was never a problem kasi we’re both in character naman, eh, as mother and son.
“But the challenge is kung paano magiging different at kung paano aatakehin na masasabing, ‘Uy, parang hindi sila ganyan sa totoong buhay.’ I think that’s the only challenge that we have right now,” dugtong niya.
Kahit sobrang itense umarte ni Arjo, hindi raw siya competitive.
“Honestly speaking, I never intended to be competitive with anybody -- even actors, even actresses -- never,” paglilinaw niya.
“Sabi ko nga, I tried to work with the team. I don’t try to go beyond of what I am or how I supposed to be in the show. I stay in my lane and I know that.
“Hindi ako, sorry for my word ha, magpapakatanga at magpapasikat. It’s more of the love for art. That’s how I work,” pagtatapos ng binata sa interbyu ng PUSH.
