Vhong Navarro can now breathe easier as the Department of Justice finally dismissed the three rape cases filed against him by model Deniece Cornejo.
In a tweet post by ABS-CBN News reporter Mario Dumaual, he shared that Vhong was “relieved” and “grateful” over the department’s decision.

According to DOJ, Deniece’s claims against the It’s Showtime host suffer major “inconsistencies.”

But, Vhong’s counsel Atty. Alma Mallonga stressed that the dismissal of Deniece’s rape case against Vhong is not the end of the battle.

The third rape complaint filed by Deniece just last July came three years since filing her second rape case against the host-actor.

Just a few weeks ago, the Metropolitan Trial Court of Taguig Branch 74 ruled that "There is probable evidence to sustain their indictment for the crime charged.” Vhong previously filed a serious illegal detention case against Deniece, as well as Cedric Lee and his cohorts in 2014.
