Luis Manzano is hosting a new ABS-CBN weekend offering called I Can See Your Voice. The host remarked that he is elated to be part of the music show, which is originally from South Korea.
“I’m extra excited because it’s something really new. It’s not a comeback of Minute [To Win It] or [Family] Feud. This is something new for the Filipino audience and nagulat nga ako dahil ang daming may gusto sa show na ‘to. When talks pa lang were coming that ABS-CBN will have this show, marami nang nagme-message sa akin. Nakikita ko on social media at nong lumabas na ‘yung teaser that I was the host, there were so many tweets, Instagram posts na they are excited for I Can See Your Voice,” he said in an interview with PUSH.
Luis will be on his 16th year as a television host for the network. Asked about his secret to longevity in the industry, he replied, “You know I just put a hundred and ten percent of everything that I do. I make sure I sit down with staff, we talk about paano pa mapapaganda ang mga bagay-bagay. Pero I think that should be answered by other people why I am lasting this long because I think I’m going on my 16th year, kaya basically my advice is as long as you put on everything, you put on the hard work. It’s not free ride, it’s not a simple vacation lang na ah host ako I have it easier, no, it’s way harder but it’s a fun ride.”
Who does he think will follow in his footsteps a host?
“There are so many pero I cannot see kung sino ang magiging next Luis Manzano because they’re all going to be better. Sabi ko nga when people ask me about Robi for example, si Robi Domingo, sinasabi ‘Ay si Robi ‘yan ang next Luis Manzano.’ I always say no he’s going to be way better than I am. Kumbaga I have my own path. Ako sigurado ako parating na ‘yung point na tumatanda na ako na paiba na ‘yan, like all the other hosts, the young ones lalampasan pa ‘yung nagawa ko,” he said.
