Proud to be part of her first independent film this year, Ang Pamilyang Hindi Lumuluha, Sharon Cuneta revealed the project actually took a few years in the making. “Nag-dinner kami nila direk Mes (De Guzman) but it took us three years bago actually naka-shoot. Parang doble pa ata yung laki ko nun kesa sa pelikula (laughs). So it was hard for me, parang hindi ko tanggap na mag-face sa camera pag ganun ako kalaki sobra. So sa storyline naman na losyang siya na matrona. It was so interesting tapos na-impress ako sa works ni direk Mes,” she recalled.
With the support of her family, Sharon said she has slowly been able to lose weight for more than a year now. “Since I’ve been on a diet my daughters have been monitoring me so they take my blood (for checking) every now and then. The last time they took my blood this morning I found out for the first time I was anemic kasi nga one year eight months na yung diet ko. I’m not 30 anymore, I’m not 20 anymore. So, so many things go on your life. The show must go on,” she explained.
During her experience shooting her first-ever independent film Ang Pamilyang Hindi Lumuluha, Sharon admitted one of the things she was most thankful for was her co-star Moi Bien who plays her househelp Bebang in the film. “Malaking tulong sa akin yung hindi ko ini-expect pero yung naging rapport namin ni Moi. Mahirap umarte ng tama kung yung ka-eksena mo hindi magaling kahit magaling ka. Kasi very natural kaming dalawa. It really surprised me na deadmang deadma lang siya tapos pag may utos na si direk at may dialogue nag-uusap kami ni Moi,” she said.
The Megastar revealed that some of the dialogue in the film was actually spontaneous between her and Moi. “Minsan kami nga tuloy tuloy yung adlibs. Pag may sinabi ako may isasagot siya. Anong sumanib sa amin (laughs). Masarap yung may katrabaho kang ganun kasi kung hindi ang hirap siguro kasi kaming dalawa lang eh for most of the film. So hindi namin sinasadyang magpatawa tapos nakakatawa,” she said.
