Camille Prats denied offending Nadine Lustre when she reposted on Twitter a conservative blogpost objecting co-habitation between non-married couples.
The now-deleted blogpost carried images of Nadine and her controversial comment about the issue: “Come on, it’s 2017 now,” thwarting criticism over speculations that she and boyfriend James Reid are living together.
Camille said she was confused “to the highest level” after receiving many hate remarks from JaDine fans on Twitter.
The actress clarified that she merely agreed with the blogger’s views and did not intend to throw shade on the popular love team. She emphasized, “I’m a fan.”
“I don't recall saying anything offensive nor did I mention any names. I just simply agreed with (the views on the blog post),” Camille clarified in a tweet.
Camille also revealed she did not see any image of Nadine at the time she reposted the blog. “I have no idea why her photo is there, it was not there when I reposted it,” she continued in a separate tweet.
JaDine fans bashed her over what they perceived as the insulting tweet, which made them believe Camille was supporting hate against Nadine.
Even after her clarification, Camille was still taken to task for not checking the blogpost before reposting it.
A commenter of her clarificatory post, bumbum, said: “…you should have checked the link first before tweeting it bc it might seem to 'attack' a certain person.”
