Whether they were already well-established in their previous networks or not, these celebrities from other networks still chose to transfer to ABS-CBN.
1. Richard Gutierrez
Richard Gutierrez, who was a big star in GMA 7, recently transferred to the Kapamilya network. He is currently in the top-rating fantasy series La Luna Sangre where he plays the lead vampire Sandrino.
2. Aljur Abrenica
Aljur Abrenica, also an established star of GMA 7, moved to ABS-CBN recently. He is now a part of the top-rating action-drama FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
3. Louise delos Reyes
From GMA 7, Louise delos Reyes is now a part of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
4. Enzo Pineda
Also from the Kapuso network, Enzo became a Kapamilya and stars in the afternoon program Pusong Ligaw.
5. Ogie Alcasid
The veteran singer-songwriter moved to ABS-CBN in 2016. He is now a judge on It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan and in the now-defunct Your Face Sounds Familiar: Kids.
‘Queen of Soul’ Jaya moved to the Kapamilya network in 2016 after years in GMA 7. She is now a judge on It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan.
7. Paulo Avelino
Paulo Avelino was discovered when he joined GMA 7’s reality talent show Starstruck in 2006. After his transfer to ABS-CBN in 2011, he starred in TV shows like Walang Hanggan, Kahit Konting Pagtingin, Honesto, Bridges of Love and On The Wings of Love.
8. Arci Munoz
Former TV5 princess Arci Munoz transferred to channel 2 in 2014. Since then, she has starred in projects like Pasion de Amor, Always Be My Maybe, Can We Still Be Friends? and Extra Service.
9. Isabelle Daza
A former Eat Bulaga host, Isabelle Daza signed a contract with ABS-CBN in 2014. She has starred in defunct drama series Nathaniel and Tubig at Langis.
10. Iza Calzado
In 2012, original Encantadia cast member Iza Calzado moved to ABS-CBN. He is currently in the primetime soap A Love To Last, playing an antagonist role.
It’s Showtime host Karylle, another original Encantadia cast member, switched networks in 2008.
12. Jake Cuenca
Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin star Jake Cuenca was a former Kapuso before he became a Kapamilya in 2006.
13. Ritz Azul
Former TV5 princess Ritz Azul transferred to the Kapamilya network in 2016. Aside from a Maalala Mo Kaya episode, she has appeared in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
14. Vin Abrenica
A former TV5 top talent, Vin Abrenica is now a Kapamilya and stars in the top-rating late afternoon soap Wildflower.
15. Yassi Pressman
Viva artist Yassi Pressman signed a contract with the network in 2015. She is currently in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano as lead actor Coco Martin’s wife Alyana.
16. Bela Padilla
In 2015, Bela Padilla, a former Kapuso, moved to ABS-CBN where she first appeared in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
17. Maxene Magalona
After 13 years in GMA 7, Maxene Magalona returned to ABS-CBN in 2014. She starred in former drama soaps Dream Dad and Doble Kara.
18. Elmo Magalona
A prized talent of GMA 7, singer-actor Elmo Magalona moved over to the Kapamilya compound in 2015 where he was given a lead role in the defunct primetime soap Born For You.
19. Jay R
Dubbed as the ‘R&B Prince,’ Jay R, from GMA 7, moved to ABS-CBN in 2014 where more of his talents were discovered, especially after he joined the first-ever Your Face Sounds Familiar.
Dubbed as the ‘R&B Princess,’ Kyla became a Kapamilya after more than 15 years of being Kapuso. She is currently a Tawag ng Tanghalan judge on It’s Showtime and an ASAP mainstay.
Dropping her last name ‘Viray’ from her screen name, Jona reinvented herself when she moved to channel 2 in 2016. After many years of being a singer, it was only after then that she had her first solo concert ‘Queen of the Night’ at the Kia Theater.
22. Angel Locsin
Already the Angel Locsin that people love, Angel transferred to the Kapamilya network in 2007. In her 10 years as a Kapamilya, she has done numerous top-rating shows and blockbuster films like Imortal, The Legal Wife, One More Try and Everything About Her.
23. Toni Gonzaga
From GMA 7, Toni Gonzaga moved to ABS-CBN in 2005 where she was able to establish herself as a sought-after host, singer and actress.
