Ara Mina on why she has no love life: ‘Walang kuwenta yung mga pumuporma’

At the press con for her new movie Adik under BJP Film Productions, Ara Mina revealed that she is not dating anyone after her breakup with the Patrick Meneses, the father of her daughter Amanda.“Wala, wala akong tao na nagugustuhan or may spark. Ayoko na maghanap eh. The more na maghanap ka mas waley so relax lang. Kasi mga walang kuwenta yung mga pumuporma eh (laughs). I mean ibig sabihin hindi sila serious tapos parang sa tingin ko ganun eh siyempre ang hinahanap ko seryoso na. Hello may anak na ako di ba? So parang tigilan niyo na ako. Naiinis lang kasi ako sa mga ibang lalake na may kunyari may girlfriend na nag-te-text pa,” she shared during the Adik media viewing event held last August 3 in Quezon City.When asked if the suitors she was pertaining to were also from showbiz, Ara Mina did not deny the fact.“No comment (laughs). Artista kasi no comment eh. Parang ano lang na-a-asshole-an lang ako kasi parang huwag mo na ako gawing tanga. I’m not a high schooler or elementary para bolahin niyo,” she said.The 38-year-old actress also shared she has also never considered dating a foreigner.“Hindi malakas ang appeal ko sa foreigner eh. Wala akong appeal sa foreigner kasi ayaw nila ng mapuputi na malaman. Ewan ko. Depende. Parang walang nanligaw sa akin na foreigner ever,” she added.Aside from her newly opened cafe, Ara said she is too busy with work to focus on having a love life this year.“Ngayon parang wala akong panahon ngayon eh kasi dahil yung sa anak ko mapaghanap na siya. Lagi niya akong hinahanap kasi two and a half years na siya. Tapos yung Hazelberry cafe ko in-open ko lang lately, nag-relocate ako eh ng mas better location.“Tapos dalawang pelikula yung ginagawa ko ngayon. Yung Immaculada nag-start na kami tapos sinama rin ako ni direk Joel (Lamangan) sa This Time I’ll Be Sweeter. Tapos merong bagong movie offer ngayon na nag-uusap na lang sa presyo so hindi ko alam kung matutuloy. And nakakatuwa kasi medyo sunod- sunod yung trabaho tapos parang reunion ang nangyayari sa akin kasi makakatrabaho ko ulit si direk Joel dahil after Huling Birhen at Mano Po at kung anu-ano pa,” she explained.Although she has kept in touch with ex-boyfriend, who also gives monthly child support to their daughter, Ara Mina said she has not totally given up on her ex-flame.“Hindi na namin pinag-uusapan yung tungkol sa amin. Hindi na ako affected. Well if in case na wala akong mahanap na magiging partner ko oo kasi siyempre I’m not getting any younger. Before, pero ngayon siyempre nung biniro ko siya nun parang tumawa lang siya. Gandang ganda naman siya sa anak ko (laughs). Wala relax lang ako. Tahimik ang buhay pag walang love life. Pero siyempre na-mi-miss mo na may mag-a-I-love-you sa ‘yo pero alam mo hindi ka masyado malulungkot pag may anak ka,” she stated.
