Followers of Vickie Rushton on Instagram have been encouraging her to join a beauty pageant again like Bb. Pilipinas and Miss World Philippines. Asked if she was planning to participate in one, Vickie revealed she was supposed to begin training for a beauty pageant the previous year.
“May mga nagsasabi po sa akin na mag-join. Actually, last year dapat mag-start ako [ng] training pero hindi ko po tinuloy. We'll see,” she stated in an interview with PUSH.
She added, “Ipag-pray ko po kasi if it's for me and if it's God's will, it will happen.”
Vickie was crowned Mutya ng Pilipinas 2011. Prior to that, she was a title holder of Lin-ay sang Negros, a local beauty pageant in Negros Occidental, Philippines.
Vickie recently appeared on the primetime series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. The actress extended her gratitude to the whole team of the show for giving her the opportunity to play the role of Amanda.
“Sobrang thankful po talaga ako sa Ang Probinsyano, sa role na binigay po nila sa akin, sa mga tao po na naka-work ko, and sa lahat ng bumubuo ng FPJ Ang Probinsyano lalo na po kay Mr. Coco Martin na nag-guide po sakin. Ang galing niya,” she said.
Vickie relayed that she really got attached to the show that she got emotional about her departure from the series.
“Na-attach po talaga ako kaya iyak ako ng iyak after ng last taping day. Kung pwede lang po bumalik si Amanda. Gusto ko talaga (laughs). I'm just so grateful na nakasama po ako sa FPJ Ang Probinsyano kasi dahil doon, nakasama din po ako sa La Luna Sangre and Wattpad,” she remarked.
