Director Antoinette Jadaone admits she gets kilig with JoshLia ever since ‘Vince and Kath and James’

Director Antoinette Jadaone expressed her elation for her co-filmmaker Sigrid Bernardo whose movie Kita Kita became a blockbuster hit. Antoinette and Sigrid came from the same university.“Si Sigrid (Bernardo) writer-director siya na nag-start UP, theater, short films, tapos natutuwa ako na ito finally nagawa niya ‘yung Kita Kita na siya pa rin, na hindi siya nawala don sa sarili niyang Sigrid Bernardo filmmaking. Minahal ‘yung pelikula ng mga tao ng dahil sa word of mouth without much promo and publicity,” she said.Direk Antoinette added that she is happy for the producers of the film as well. “Minahal siya kasi isa siyang magandang pelikula. ‘Pag magandang pelikula, mga tao ‘yung magpro-promote para sa’yo. Sobrang happy ako, sobrang happy rin ako for Spring Films, kanila direk Joyce (Bernal), sir Erickson (Raymundo), kay [Piolo] so ‘yun masaya for the industry,” she stated.This coming August 30, 2017, it is Direk Antoinette’s turn to capture the hearts of the moviegoers as her upcoming movie Love You To the Stars and Back is set to hit the big screen. Asked if it is couple-centered just like the film Kita Kita, Direk Tonette replied, “Naka-focus po sa kanila, sa road trip nila. Si Mika (Julia Barretto) po naniniwala siya sa aliens so pupunta siya sa lugar kung saan pwede siyang makuha ng mga aliens tapos na-meet niya on the way si Caloy (Joshua Garcia) na meron siyang sariling journey na hindi para makuha ng aliens. Pero dahil don sa pagkakaparehas nila, ‘yun sa gitna, iisang journey na lang ‘yung tinatahak nila,” she relayed.The director was all praises for the JoshLia love team. She admitted that she gets “kilig” over them.“Sa ‘Vince and Kath and James,’ sobrang nagustuhan ko po sila pareho. Nagustuhan ko sila kasi hindi pilit ‘yung story nila sa ‘Vince and Kath and James’ eh, na nakikilig ako sa kanila. Sino ba ‘tong dalawang ‘to? Bagay sila, nakakakilig sila as a team. So nong nakatrabaho ko sila lalo, feeling ko na-realize ko kung bakit kilig sila kasi pareho silang sincere po, sincere talaga sila umarte, sincere sila sa mga tao so ayon eh feeling ko as a person ma-magnetize ka towards ‘pag sincere ‘yung isang tao so ‘yun. Kaya happy lang ‘yung set namin,” she said.Asked if she noticed that there is an ongoing romance between the two stars, the director relayed, “Ang tawagan nila ‘baba’. Parang [sinasabi nila] ‘stop it baba’, ‘don’t start baba’. Kinikilig [ako] po sa start pero pag palubog na po ‘yung araw, kailangan namin tapusin ‘yung eksena parang tumigil na kayong dalawa sa kaka-baba eh kasi meron pa kayong eksena eh,” she quipped.She remarked that Joshlia’s chemistry is palpable. “As a director nakakatuwa na meron silang chemistry talaga na madaling i-capture on screen so ‘yun nakakatuwa,” she stated.
