Denise Laurel to undergo surgery after ‘The Better Half’ to remove cysts

After getting scared of the several cysts found in her body, Denise Laurel is finally relieved that they’re benign and is now planning to undergo a surgery to remove it. Benign cysts are not cancerous but she still opted to remove it.

“Of course at first it was alarming to them because I had a lot. I have in my lymph nodes, my breast, and my ovaries," she told ABS-CBN News. (http://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/08/25/17/after-cancer-scare-denise-laurel-to-undergo-surgery)

"Now that we have a definite date [for the soap's finale], it will be easier for me. After I rest for like a week, or maybe after the Star Magic Ball, they're just gonna take out the lump. It's a surgery... They are just going to take out the cyst," she added.

Doctors suggested that Denise should take enough sleep but it’s difficult for her since she’s an actress.

“You are torn, you want to do what you love and you are blessed to get paid to do what you love. But then your body... I've been puyat for 21, going 22 years this September," she said.

She shared about her health condition last year.
