What's next for Myrtle Sarrosa after graduating Cum Laude?

After graduating Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines-Diliman, Myrtle Sarrosa, who took up Broadcasting Communication, admitted that although she has plans to pursue the degree she finished, she would like to focus on the opportunities being given to her now.

Gusto ko talagang ituloy-tuloy ‘yung acting and hosting and performing so sana tumuloy-tuloy,” she said during the press conference for her contract renewal with sanitary napkin brand Sisters.

Speaking of her return to acting, Myrtle, who won Pinoy Big Brother in 2012, admitted that she used to ask herself about her career. However, she also realized that everyone has a different path to take.

“Siguro pinapahinog lang ako or nag-aantay lang talaga ng proper timing. I’m just waiting for that,” she said.

She also opened up about a shelved project where she was supposed to do the lead role. “Before, nagkaroon na ako ng almost opportunity to do a lead role sa ABS. Hindi siya natuloy and before, tinatanong ko ‘yun bakit ‘di siya natuloy pero ngayon, na-understand ko na. Siguro, may ibang plan pa sa’kin si God or (may) ibang timing Siya para sa akin.”

Nonetheless, Myrtle, who recently played a vampire character in the top-rating series La Luna Sangre, has her hands full of showbiz projects now. She is currently doing two upcoming movies with Regal Films.

Myrtle also expressed a strong desire to pursue acting, “Either serious or nasa romance… Kasi gusto ko na makapasok sa iba’t ibang mga characters. Nag-e-enjoy ako ‘nun, eh.”

Meanwhile, Myrtle, whose last relationship was with Brian Poe Llamanzares in 2015, was asked about the status of her love life.

According to the cosplayer, she still is single although there are suitors. “May mga in-e-entertain ako ngayon. Non-showbiz,” she said, adding that her heart is now happy.

Speaking of relationships, she was also asked about actor Yves Flores whom she was linked to during her early days in showbiz. She then admitted that she and Yves never became a couple. “Hindi nga naging kami eh... Mga ligawan stage na hindi na natuloy.”

Do they still communicate? “Hindi pero nakikita ko ‘yung mga projects niya ngayon, napapanood ko siya at nakaka-proud naman talaga siya,” she said, citing his acting in a Maalala Mo Kaya episode.
