Camille Prats shares why she won’t name her baby Sarah

During her launch as the new celebrity ambassador of Sanosan, Camille Prats said she is happy to face the cameras again after going through a very difficult first trimester.

“I want to be positive about this pregnancy. Parang the first few months it was really, really hard. But I embraced it. I’m just basically happy and I guess it helps that my husband is really taking good care of me,” she shared during her baby shower press con held last July 27.

Camille also shared why her second pregnancy has been especially challenging.

“Sabi kasi nila sa akin after three months it should pass. Tapos naka-three months na hirap na hirap pa rin ako. As in yung amoy ng garlic was really bad. Pag pasok ko pa lang ng bahay pag naamoy ko na masama na agad yung pakiramdam ko. I would sleep the entire day, which is so not normal for me kasi six to seven hours sleep I’m okay na. With this pregnancy tulog na ako ng 7 pm, gising ako ng 3 am tapos matutulog ako at gigising ng 8 am, mag-bre-breakfast ako tapos 10 am tulog na naman ako hanggang 5 pm. Wala na akong waking hours. Tapos inisip ko, ‘What’s wrong with me?’ Hirap talaga. I could barely get out of bed. I could barely drink water. Even water nilalabas ko. Lahat ng kinakain ko nilalabas ko. Tapos medyo pabalik balik ako sa doctor. That’s the entire three months kasi nga na-di-dehydrate na rin ako. Nung mga fourth month I started feeling better. So far four months onwards okay na okay na talaga ko,” she explained.

Camille said her son Nathan has also been supportive of her during this time.

“He was just there asking, ‘Mommy are you okay?’ Kasi parang yung minsan nagigising ako tapos nakikita ko lang nandun siya or minsan tatabihan niya ako. I think he liked the idea that I was always home. kasi nung time na yun bakasyon time din niya from school. Napakalambing kasi nun and he shows concern. Tapos very caring siya. If I need something I ask him to do it for me and he willingly does it naman,” she revealed.

As early as 10 weeks into the pregnancy, the actress said she already found out the gender of her new baby.

“I was secretly hoping for a baby girl kasi I already have a boy. But in my heart iniisip ko there’s also a big chance that it will be a boy kasi my husband apat na boys sila sa family. So malaki rin yung chance na yung lahi nila more on boys talaga. So sabi ko sana babae kasi if it’s a boy, I’m happy. Gusto ko lang talaga healthy baby. I found out early kasi I did a test which is already available here for all the moms out there to know na it’s actually a test that will know the chromosomal abnormalities of your child. So as early as 10 weeks makikita na nila kung may problema si baby so you can do something about it early on. So dun sa test na yun you will also find out the gender of your child kasi it’s a DNA test. It was just a blood extraction then you wait for ten days and then the results will arrive tapos your OB will discuss it with you,” she said.

As far as deciding what to name the newest member of their family, Camille says she is deciding against naming her baby Sarah after her famous childhood role Princess Sarah.

Kasi a lot of people are telling me to name her Sarah so I’m considering that. Kaya lang sabi ko dun sa husband ko, ‘Hindi ko kasi ma-absorb na yun yung tawag ko sa anak ko kasi parang feeling ko it was a brand that was given to me.’ Like people would always call me that. So parang feeling ko if I call my daughter that it’s so unreal. para siyang joke para sa akin. So we’re still thinking kung ano talaga yung ipapangalan namin sa kanya,” she divulged.

At 32, Camille said she never expected to be so busy with work commitments.

“I feel very blessed kasi the busiest year of my life was this year. So from getting married in January and getting pregnant right away which was really an unexpected blessing but of course it was really welcomed and we were really happy about the pregnancy. So many things was just happening to me and I definitely am more grateful for everything. For this partnership with Sanosan it was really something I did not expect kasi akala ko kapag nagbubuntis ka nagla-lie low ka sa trabaho. Parang ako lang ata yung mas nagtratrabaho nung buntis (laughs). but I’m not complaining. I’m really very happy with everything that’s been going on in my life personally and career wise and I’m just looking forward to the things that are yet to come with the arrival of the baby unang una and yung iba pang darating,” she stated.
