Ai-Ai delas Alas took to her Instagram account on Friday, June 30, to clarify the current status of Jiro Manio’s rehabilitation.
The embattled former child star left the rehabilitation facility ahead of time last week to live with his family. Jiro was admitted to the Bataan wellness facility in 2015 thanks to the comedienne.
After days of keeping mum about the issue, Ai-Ai finally spoke up after being subjected to an allegedly malicious blind item that’s been circulating on Facebook from a certain reporter.
While she didn’t particularly reveal clues to the reporter’s identity, Ai-Ai nevertheless gave her followers an idea about what was written about her.
“Gusto ko daw palabasin si Jiro sa rehab dahil ayaw ko ng gastusan???” Ai Ai quoted the blind item as saying.
Although she’s not the type to share about her philanthropic efforts, Ai-Ai claimed that she felt the need to set the record straight about the issue surrounding Jiro.
“Si Jiro paiba-iba yan ng isip. So minsan wala na lang ako magawa kundi i-pag-pray siya,” Ai-Ai wrote.
She even posted a supposed message from Jiro to a certain Doc Liz whom the netizens presumed to be someone from the wellness facility.
Ai-Ai pointed out, “At ngayong araw na ito, nandoon siya ulit sa rehab. Ako pa din ang nagbabayad hanggang ngayon ng rehab niya.”
Towards the end of her post, Ai-Ai gave a blunt message to those who continually cast doubt in her efforts.
“Kaya kayong mga walang magawa mapanghusga at walang naitulong or maiitulong ... SHUT UPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!” she said.
It was mid-2015 when Ai-Ai “rescued” her son in the blockbuster franchise Tanging Ina from his extreme bout of depression after being found homeless at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
