EXCLUSIVE: Bela Padilla writes script for Star Cinema

Bela Padilla has been expanding her horizons lately by trying her hand at scriptwriting. She relayed that she has also been learning how to direct. The actress remarked that she wants to try different things as much as possible while she is still young.“Right now I’m interning under direk Joyce (Bernal) and direk Dan Villegas so I’m kind of studying. I also have work with Star Cinema soon but not acting work. Kasi I write di ba so I wrote a script for Star Cinema. It is going to come out soon. Parang they gave me the idea rin, my friend si direk Joyce (Bernal) at ‘yung team namin na parang if you can write more or less meron kang mata for directing,” she said in an interview with <a href='http://push.abs-cbn.com/'>PUSH.</a>She added, “Right now I’m just trying, because right now I feel like it’s now or never if I am going to try new things especially since I finished a long soap and I did two movies na in the first two quarters of the year so parang I feel like I deserve a chance to try something new.”The actress stressed that acting will always be her priority. “I still love acting more, this is really the only thing I see myself doing kasi right now I only write scripts [on the side] but I treat that as extra job. Dagdag trabaho pero ito (acting) talaga happy place ko pag nasa set.”Bella hopes that she finds the same passion that she has for acting when it comes to directing in the future. “Sana I find the same level of love for directing as acting kasi I’m the type of person who doesn’t want to do things half-baked so if I get into it, I should really get into it 100 percent. So far I have been interning, I can say that sobrang saya ko rin sa ginagawa ko ngayon” she stated.
