Maymay Entrata on Edward Barber: ‘Just stay who you are because all of us love you as who you are’

Maymay Entrata said she wishes Edward Barber would stay as the caring and loveable person that he is. The Kapamilya actress shared her touching birthday message for Edward at the latter’s birthday dinner last Thursday, July 13, which was organized by their fans.

Wish ko sa’yo huwag kang magbago lang kasi minahal ka ng tao kung sino ka. Tapos ano ka lang parang sana kung paano ka maging caring sa lahat ng tao sana ganon pa rin. Kung gaano ka loveable na person, just stay who you are because all of us love you as who you are,” she told Edward.

She also wished that Edward remains as the helpful person that he is towards others. “Tapos ‘yung pagiging maalagain mo sa pamilya mo at ‘yung pagiging matulungin mo talaga kasi iyon ‘yung nagustuhan ko sa kanya, ‘yung pagiging matulungin po niya sa charity at tsaka sa mga bata. Huwag kang magbago at ‘yun maging maka-Diyos ka pa rin,” she said.

Meanwhile, as his birthday wish, Edward wants his loved ones to be close together at all times. “With everything changing at the moment, one thing that I will keep the same is that my family will be there because I won’t be able to get this far [without them],” he said.

He added, “And for my family and friends to be safe and I hope things will stay the same because I know all things are changing, with all the blessings coming, I just hope the people I love will still be there,” he said. He also mentioned that he wants to learn Tagalog quickly.

Edward also expressed his gratitude to their fans for the surprise dinner that they organized. “I am very happy and very surprised,” he said. On turning 17, Edward is looking forward to the experiences that he will gain from his journey ahead. “Actually I’m turning 17 on the 15th so I’m still enjoying my last few days of being a child I guess because as soon as I turn 17 it is a step closer, as my parents say, to becoming a man, a really grown man. I am looking forward to the challenges and experiences that I will have,” he stated.
