Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla are now ambassadors against cyberbullying

The Cybersmile Foundation, a non-profit organization that is against cyberbullying, has made Kapamilya celebrities Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla their official ambassadors.

Last month, the love team participated in the Stop Cyberbullying Day 2017 campaign of the organization.

“With a combined social media reach of over 22 million, Daniel and Kathryn will be raising awareness of the impact of cyberbullying and digital abuse to huge numbers of internet users around the world - while promoting the Cybersmile message of inclusion, kindness and positivity,” Cybersmile’s official statement read, as posted on their website.

As of writing, Daniel has more than 900,000 followers on Instagram and 5.9 million on Twitter. Kathryn, on the other hand, has 5.4 million followers on Instagram and 7 million on Twitter.

True to his role as an ambassador, it will be remembered that Daniel recently defended fellow La Luna Sangre star Tony Labrusca after KathNiel fans bashed him for his role on the primetime soap.

"I’m sure aware si Tony na mangyayari yun. Kailangan niya tanggapin yun pero kailangan na rin tigil-tigilan ng mga fans. Tigilan niyo. It’s just a show. Relax lang. Huwag kayo nang-aaway ng mga tao dahil hindi naman sila yun. Character lang nila yun. Relax. Kung nagagalit kayo, effective ibig sabihin ‘di ba? Kaya guys, please!" he said.
