Charo Santos is set to start her preparations for her second Lav Diaz movie soon.
The ABS-CBN Chief Content Officer will be talking to several OFWs as part of her immersion for her character.
“Ready na, we had a discussion about the characters. And then I’m going to be meeting with some OFW mothers,” she said in an interview during Sun Life’s Living and Leaving A Legacy press conference.
She also shared that the internationally-acclaimed director also wants her to learn to speak German.
“Singapore ‘yung 80% [of the movie] but it starts in Frankfurt. I’ll work for a German couple. I was a nanny to the child of a German couple. So sabi ko, ‘Ah talaga mag-aaral ako,’” she said.
Who will be her co-stars in the film?
“I think Shaina Magdayao, Hazel Orencio, and then there’s this very good indie actress,” Charo shared.
The Ang Babaeng Humayo star shared in a previous interview that she would be portraying the role of a mother in her second film under Lav.
“The story is about an OFW who comes home to bury her son but na-delay yung flight niya and she has to stay in [the] Singapore airport and she met young OFWs during the transit and she got to know the way thinking of these young workers, yes they worked hard do their families but they also thinking of themselves," she said.
