Dingdong Dantes will be working on two different films this year. One movie is with Anne Curtis who was his co-star in a youth-oriented drama series in the ‘90s. The actor said that he is elated to work with her again. “Look test pa lang kami pero ilang beses ko siyang nakasama nong nagsisimula pa lang kami nakasabay ko siya sa TGIS and sobrang excited ako sa pwedeng kalabasan nitong proyekto namin,” he said.
Meanwhile, he will also be starring in a movie with Aga Muhlach, Enrique Gil, and Cristine Reyes for Star Cinema. “Alam mo si Aga isa sa mga idolo ko ‘yan growing up. Siyempre before I entered siyempre isa sa mga bagay that I was looking forward to ay makatrabaho siya and finally ito na ‘yung pagkakataon ko. And luckily kasama ko ulit si Enrique who is my real life relative and si Cristine Reyes naman I was with her with Starstruck and [makakatrabaho ko siya] dito naman sa direksyon ni Cathy Garcia-Molina,” he said.
Dingdong relayed that he said yes to doing the movie because of the theme of the story. “I like the family [theme] in the movie meaning personally siguro matagal na akong hindi nakakapanood ng family-oriented Filipino film and magandang mabigyang buhay ‘yung pananaw ng iba’t ibang kapatid, karakter, ‘yung mga members ng family. Kasi dito mo makikita ‘yung dynamics ng isang traditional Filipino family. Nandoon ‘yung hardships, challenges and at the same time ‘yung mga happy moments,” he said.
The actor remarked that his wife Marian Rivera is very supportive of his present endeavors. “Supportive kami sa isa’t isa so siyempre ayaw namin nahihirapan ‘yung kami di ba? Tsaka siya ayoko siyang nakikitang nahihirapan so tulungan kami parati.”
Amid their various commitments in showbiz, Dingdong relayed that when it comes to taking care of their daughter Zia, they take turns. “Ganon pa rin. Siniguro namin na ‘yung oras namin alternating para at least isa sa amin ay nandon para magpatulog [kay Zia],” he said.
