Judy Ann Santos quietly shared that she remains a shoulder to lean on for her embattled friend Sharon Cuneta.
The veteran star recently made headlines for going on a solo trip to the United States to “recharge” and to have a “change of environment.”
Judy Ann, in an interview during the launch of the Sun Life Shorts 2, shared that she just makes it a point to be there for Sharon.
“Hinahayaan ko lang naman siya magkuwento. Hindi ko siya pinipilit. Kukumustahin ko lang siya, padala ako ng food, padala ako ng something,” she said.
The two forged a good friendship after co-starring in the 2002 drama film Magkapatid.
According to Judy Ann, what’s important at the moment is that someone shows unquestionable care and love for the seasoned star.
“May mga pagkakataon talaga na pag-gising mo minsan, ang dami mo nang binibitbit,” she said.
Judy Ann continued, “Kailangan mo lang ng isa or dalawang supporter na you would actually feel na nandiyan 'yung love nila, 'yung care nila sa ‘yo at a time na feeling mo walang pakialam ang mundo sa ‘yo.”
Aside from looking out for Sharon, Judy Ann likewise addressed the comments that are labeling the famed host-actress of being an “attention-seeker.”
“Hindi mo naman maiiwasan ang mga taong ganyan. Marami 'yan. Ganun sila eh. Hindi ako magwe-waste ng time to explain my side, side ni Ate Sharon,” she said.
In the end, Judy Ann emphasized that while these bashers are a part of their lives as celebrities, she is not one to be affected by them.
“May kanya-kanyang pinagdadaanan ang bawat tao. Pero dahil magnified ang buhay namin bilang mga artista, sa amin sila magdedepende ng kanegahan nila. Hindi ko ibibigay sa kanila yun,” she ended.
