Sarah Geronimo to star in a local adaptation of a Korean movie

Sarah Geronimo’s fans couldn’t contain their excitement following news about her next movie.

According to Pilipino Star Ngayon editor Salve Asis’s column last June 3, the Pop Star Royalty is set to star in the local adaptation of the South Korean movie Miss Granny.

According to her, Viva's big boss Vic del Rosario personally confirmed the said rumor.

The column further noted that Miss Granny is slated to open in local cinemas this November.

The 2014 South Korean hit movie was headlined by Korean star Shim Eun-Kyung. It follows the story of a woman in her 70s who suddenly returns to being a 20-year-old upon entering a photo studio.

The said movie has already been adapted into several versions including Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Indian, and Japanese adaptations. The film is also set to have an English and Spanish version.

Should Sarah push through with the project, Miss Granny is going to be her second film for 2017. Sarah is currently busy with her fourth film with John Lloyd Cruz titled Dear Future Husband.

Apart from Sarah, Anne Curtis will reportedly be starring in a project together with Korean superstar Gong Yoo.
