K-pop fans are in shock today, June 6, as news quickly spread that Big Bang's T.O.P. was rushed to the hospital due to a medical drug overdose.

The K-pop idol is currently embroiled in a scandal regarding his use of marijuana, which is considered an illegal substance in South Korea. T.O.P, who was already in the military for the government's required 2-year service, was kicked out because of the impending case he must face. It is also said that he must reenlist again.

According to reports from Korean website Koreaboo, T.O.P's management, YG Entertainment has already confirmed the rapper's current condition.

He is still unconscious and currently in the intensive care unit at Ehwa Women’s University Mokdong Hospital.

Big Bang is considered one of the top K-pop icons in Korea, selling 140 million records around the world. The group was the first Korean artist to enter Forbes Magazine’s Celebrity 100.
