Local directors Lav Diaz and Brillante Mendoza are now members of The Academy

<p style='text-align: justify;'> </p><p style='text-align: justify;'>Journalist Ruben Nepales recently confirmed on Facebook that acclaimed directors Lav Diaz and Brillante Mendoza are among the newest members of the prestigious award-giving body The Academy also known as The Oscars.
