Big Bang rapper T.O.P has pleaded guilty to all charges related to his illegal use of marijuana during his court hearing today, June 29.

The Supreme Prosecutor’s Office in South Korea has sentenced the rapper to 10 months in prison but suspended it for two years, which means T.O.P won’t be going to prison unless he breaks the law again in the said period.

“I have been suffering from depression for a very long time. I made a wrong decision and made a mistake that I cannot turn back. This happened all in the span of one week. That week is the worst time of my life and I regret it sincerely and deeply. I am ashamed of myself and will willingly take any form of punishment,” T.O.P said in a statement through his lawyer to South Korean media.

During the court hearing it was also revealed that T.O.P and trainee Han Seo Hee, who was also involved in the incident, were dating at the time. According to his lawyers, the two broke up after the marijuana episode.

In March 2017, South Korean authorities began investigating Han Seo Hee for illegal drug use which led to the discovery of the involvement of the Big Bang member.
