Kathryn Bernardo on Daniel Padilla’s admirers: ‘Alam naman ni DJ kung saan siya lulugar and confident ako sa kanya’

On Tonight with Boy Abunda, one of the lead stars of the hit teleserye La Luna Sangre Kathryn Bernardo shared her excitement on the planning and construction of her dream house.

“Yes! My dream house, finally. Pero we’re just starting pa, Tito Boy, sa planning and all. [I’m] very hands on kasi ayaw kong madaliin kasi it’s my dream house. So gusto ko, i-take yung time ko and ayun, exciting!”

Her film, Barcelona A Love Untold, will be included in South Korea’s 21st Bucheon Film Festival. She first heard the news from her mom. “Sabi niya, ‘Congrats anak!’ Sabi ko, ‘Bakit ma?’ And then kasama daw kami sa film festival. Sabi ko, ‘Oh my God, thank you. So siguro kung may dapat akong pasalamatan for this project, that’s Inang Olivia Lamasan. Lalo tumaas respeto ko sa kanya after working with her dito sa Barcelona.”

The actress has truly a lot to be thankful for as La Luna Sangre has been getting rave reviews. She admitted to having gotten some bumps and bruises playing the character Malia. “Meron, yung minsan may mga pasa ka or sa mga harness. Pero gusto ko siyang matutunan pa and hindi mo mararamdaman yung pain pag nandoon ka sa scene kasi intense lahat. So okay naman siya.”

Last week, Daniel Padilla advised Kathryn’s admirers to keep a safe distance, saying, “Hanggang maglaway lang sila.” Hearing it for the first time, she responded, “Ganoon siya, protective. Hindi lang sa akin, Tito Boy, sa mga kapatid niya, kahit kay Tita Karla (Estrada), kahit kay Mama (Min Bernardo) minsan, sa lahat ng taong special sa kanya.”

Asked if she, too, has parameters, she admitted, “May guhit din,” eliciting cheers from the audience. “Kasi alam naman ni DJ din kung hanggang saan na yung mood ko din. Kung hanggang saan ko kaya.”

But as host Boy Abunda put it, there are people who don’t respect limits. “Yun nga!” Kathryn reacted. “Kaya sinasabi ko, yung trust na lang. Alam naman ni DJ kung saan siya lulugar and confident ako sa kanya.”

Facing the magic mirror, Boy asked Kathryn, “Yung girl in the mirror, halimbawa, tinanong siya ni DJ ten years from now, DJ goes to you and says, ‘Girl in the mirror, will you marry me?’ Is that a yes or a no?”

“Yes!” again to the delight of the audience. Although she clarified, “Ten years ha! Ten years pa.”
