Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla take a stand against cyberbullying

Phenomenal love team Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, collectively addressed as ‘KathNiel,’ expressed their stand against cyberbullying.

In a YouTube video titled Stop Cyberbullying Day 2017 PSA, KathNiel, who were launched as Filipino celebrity influencers of the non-government organization Cybersmile Foundation, joined foreign celebrities in the campaign against online bullying.

“We know how it is to be bullied in cyberspace. It’s really depressing and sometimes, really painful. And so we say, stop cyberbullying,” Kathryn said.

Likewise, the  actress posted on her Instagram account, “Social media has allowed the freedom of communication that Millennials now enjoy. But, in this same environment thrives lies, deception, abuse and hostility. Let us stop abusing this freedom and be aware of the adverse effect of cyberbullying to individuals. Let us use digital space to connect rather than disconnect.”

As for Daniel, he shared on his Instagram, “We cannot remain quiet and simply tolerate bullies and bashers on cyberspace. We are taking a stand now – stop cyberbullying.”
