With her baby daughter Isabelle now just a little over one year old, Vanessa Matsunaga said she is really enjoying motherhood. “I think every stage in your life has a different challenge because now she’s so curious and she needs to walk but she’s not that confident yet to walk by herself so we always have to walk with her. It’s a different challenge but it’s so rewarding at the same time. It’s about giving. You have to give a lot to your child. A lot of attention, a lot of your time but it’s so amazing. I love it,” she shared during the Bibi Philippines children’s footwear launch held last May 31 in Makati city.
The Bibi Philippines celebrity guest shared that one of her daughter’s biggest fans is her younger brother and I Can Do That contestant Daniel. “Oh he loves her so much. He’s very busy so he’s always in a hurry all the time but every time he’s with her he gives 100% of his attention. He’s the best tito. And Isabella loves kissing him now. So he gets all kilig (laughs),” she revealed.
After her brother’s breakup with Erich Gonzales last February, Vanessa said he has been making the most of his free time. “He’s always been the kind of guy that he’s always with us. Family is the most important time for him. He’s been working so hard in the gym, harder than before because he has more free time. But he’s working really, really hard on his show. He has a lot of performances every week so I don’t get to see him that often because of that. He’s always training and always in the gym or out of town for a mall show or something,” she shared.
As much as they want to see him dating again, Vanessa said their family has never interfered in his dating life. “Oh no, we never did. It’s always on his time if he decides when it’s a good time for him, if he finds the right person I think that would be the most important thing for him. He always looks for the right person and if that person is for him then yeah okay,” she said. When asked if Daniel has moved on from Erich, the pretty mommy admitted it was a difficult process for her brother. “I would say that I think he is doing better. But he was really heartbroken for a long time,” she added.
