Loves knows no distance for Makisig Morales and his girlfriend Vianne Loisse Adrienne Lacay. The former Kapamilya child star and singer now resides in Australia while his girlfriend lives in the Philippines. Makisig said that their faith and the support from their loved ones strengthen their relationship despite living apart.
“First of all po God is in the center of our relationship. And I think matibay po 'yung loob ko dahil nandiyan po ang mga parents namin nakasuporta sa relationship namin especially sa career na tini-take namin which is siya dentistry and ako pagiging chef, and lagi ko sinasabi sa kanya na lahat ng ginagawa namin ay para sa future namin 'yun,” Makisig said in an interview with Push.com.ph
Makisig revealed that Vianne was his best friend back in high school. He relayed that Vianne did not know he was a celebrity then. “We know everything about each other kaya sobrang gaan na lang ng loob ko sa kanya. Natuwa pa ako kasi sa group of friends niya, siya lang 'yung hindi ako kilala as 'Makisig'. And I know for a fact na, na-in love siya sa akin hindi dahil artista ako kundi kung sino talaga ako,” he shared.
Vianne is Makisig's first girlfriend. “Pinag-pray ko po talaga kay Lord na kung sino first girlfriend ko, siya 'yung gusto ko makasama habang buhay,” he shared.
The former Super Inggo star is currently in the Philippines for a show but he could not reveal any details yet. He admitted that he misses the Philippines especially the lifestyle, culture, and the warmth of the Filipinos. He also confessed he misses show business. “Because 'yun po ang kinalakihan ko and passion ko ang pag-acting especially ang mai-share ang talent ko.” But he revealed he is already staying in Australia for good.
“Para secured na po ang future namin ng family ko. But pag mayroon pong show na offer sa akin dito sa Philippines, I would take that opportunity po,” he shared.
In Australia, he shared that he is busy with his studies, his work, and serving God. “Busy rin po ako sa pagiging big brother sa aking mga younger siblings,” he added. Makisig described his life in Australia as fun and exciting. “Kasi new experience po sa aming family,” he said.
Even now that he has chosen a different path away from showbiz, his fans are still very supportive of him. “Ang masasabi ko po sa lahat ng fans and supporters ko po, mahal na mahal ko po sila. Sana hindi po sila mag sawa na suportahan ako at gagawin ko po ang best ko na makapagbigay ng saya at ma-share ang binigay ni Lord God na talent sa akin.”
Recently, he was in the spotlight again after his cover of Bruno Mars's “Versace on the Floor” went viral online. Makisig was overwhelmed by the netizens' response to his cover. “Di ko po ine-expect na mag vi-viral kasi I just made that cover kasi gusto ko na ma-update 'yung mga fans. And I've been doing a lot of covers po sa aking YouTube channel and one of the most requested song po is ‘Versace’ kaya gumawa po ako ng cover ng ‘Versace,’” he relayed.
